Is it strange for someone to still be kidnapped after a whole month? Arthur's been gone for so long.

[He sighs. There's rustling of paper and Merlin eyes Fina's notes with great trepidation. He cannot understand why he has not had some measure of success with them. They were so charmingly written, so thoughtfully recorded. He sighs for a second time.]

Fina, you know that thing? I'm still having no luck. Perhaps I need a little more assistance.

... you mean like your boss? [ ... huh. ] Well... either way, I'm sure he'll be back soon. I've heard of people being gone for a few weeks, but never too long, if that helps at all.

I know what you mean. Someone important to me was kidnapped by the Malnosso a while ago, and I spent the whole time worrying. I think the best you can do is just try to distract yourself and have faith they'll be okay.

Well... my birthday happened while he was gone. Not the best time to have a birthday, but... someone really nice took me out to get a cake. It helped me a lot with getting my mind off it. Do you have anyone you can spend time with?
