[Merlin's sleep had been rudely interrupted by intense flashes of light and the overwhelming feeling that he should be doing something. The presence, pushing at the boundaries of his mind, felt eerily like communicating with the Great Dragon. And as Merlin had tossed and turned, awake, throughout the rest of the night he came to a conclusion. After all he had done to try and contact Hyt--with plenty of failure--it looks as though the spirit had attempted to contact him right back.

Intuitively, the young warlock felt able to suss out what the spirit wanted. Hold fast, wait for further instructions. Prove yourself worthy. The anticipation of it all succeeds to put him on edge for the rest of the day.

Mid-morning, he addresses the community through his journal:]
Err--hello? I was, uhm, just wondering...are there any stables in Luceti? Normally, back home, Arthur just says the word and there are horses waiting outside the castle. Well, more like Arthur says the word and I go fetch them but, what I mean is...what do you do if you plan on making any kind of a journey, here?

[Later in the day, Merlin can be seen walking impatiently around the village. He looks distracted and ill-at-ease with excitement. The walking is mostly a means of keeping calm while he waits for any further communication from the spirit. For once, he's not carting anything around with him.]

[Unlike Merlin, Minato is not a wizard and has no goal for today. The finally warmer weather is too nice to ignore, though, so he ventured out to one of the benches near the square carrying a book. He's more people-watching than reading, and Merlin may notice him looking as he passes by - or passes by again. The aimlessness of that walking is pretty obvious.]

[Razette watches Merlin walk around for a moment before she pulls herself out of the water, grabbing the clothes she had left out for herself and wearing them quickly. She'll just go and follow you around for a moment, Merlin.]

Oy, you. Look like you've got a doxie in your trousers or something. [Here, Merlin, have your pink-haired, loud-mouthed, Tonks-shaped friend, jogging to catch up with you. She skids to a halt, almost (but not quite!) toppling over in the process.]

It really depends on what you've got at your disposal. As far as I know, there's only one horse in Luceti and it belongs to one of the residents. [Small pause while she coughs.]

So you either go on foot, or you talk to one of the more magical villagers and see if they can help you out. Teleporting and flying spring to mind.

[ Fina was also outside today and heading to the stores, when Cupil chirps at the sight of a distracted Merlin wandering around. She observes his erratic pacing, blinking slowly at the strange sight, before approaching and tapping him shyly on the shoulder. ]

Um... Merlin?

[A little on the faint and tired side, but coherent enough.]

Horses? It would be nice to have them...or chocobos. I think the only way to get around is on foot or using magic, though.

A... journey, Sir Merlin?
